For the last phase, this assignment called For the Self-Assessment Essay, I was asked to reflect on my development as a writer and the thought process behind my work. I truly had to dive deep and remember what it was like writing those pieces. The assignment asked me to examine how well I had attained the course learning outcomes by stating how I have grown in my writing. I had to back these claims up with specific moments from assignments, reflections, and other course materials. Additionally, I had to respond to five key outcomes, like exploring different genres, analyzing linguistic standards, exploring different rhetorical situations, practicing rhetorical techniques, developing writing strategies, and using digital technologies for communication. Lastly, this essay is my introduction to my Portfolio and explains how I truly have changed as a writer through this class.
